La Germania ha già scelto la sua star: si tratta di Daniel Bruehl (24 anni). Bruehl ha già ricevuto il premio Max Ophüls per la sua interpretazione di un giovane schizofrenico in Das weisse Rauschen di Hans Weingartner, oltre al German Award come miglior attore per i film Nichts bereuen di Benjamin Quabeck, Das weisse Rauschen e Vaya con dios di Zoltan Spirandelli.
Le candidature dei diversi paesi per le proprie “Shooting stars” dovranno essere presentate entro il primo dicembre.

, I must admit that I don't remember a lot of that time.
I had to get in contact with people from former East-Germany, that was the most important thing: the time of preparation. And so it was like a history-lesson for me because during history-lessons in school I used to sleep and so I had to work on that.
In Europe there should be more co-productions, but I think it is getting better. It is always difficult for an actor to get good scripts, you are always waiting for a good one. It is good to be known in other countries, so that the possibility to get a good script is bigger. That's my motto for today and tonight: 'Alles wird gut' -'Everything will be fine'".
