German screenwriter, author and director Anika Decker has wrapped shooting in Berlin on her new comedy Liebesdings. Decker, who is behind some of the most successful German romantic comedies of recent years, such as Dreamgirls [+leggi anche:

Elyas M'Barek appeared in a series of supporting roles in German comedies, working, among others, with successful German director Till Schweiger. His breakthrough came with films such as Suck Me Shakespeer [+leggi anche:

The film tells the turbulent love story of an acclaimed actor who is on the run from the media and from his own past. M'Barek plays Marvin Bosch, who finds his new love (Lucie Heinze) in none other than a feminist off-theatre that is about to go out of business. His life is turned upside down. He ends up fighting for the theatre’s survival but also to restore his reputation. Liebesdings is a story of ups and downs, of love and betrayal, and the realisation that you can only really be happy if you are true to yourself.
Liebesdings is the first collaboration between Anika Decker's production company Decker Bros. and Constantin Film. Rüdiger Böss and Philipp Reuter are listed as the producers, Anika Decker and Jan Decker as the co-producers and Martin Moszkowicz, CEO of Constantin Film, as executive producer. The film enjoys the support of Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg (MBB), the German Federal Film Board (FFA), the Bavarian Film Fund (FFF) and the German Film Fund (DFFF), and is scheduled for release in early 2022.
