After an introduction by the event’s host AC Coppens, founder of The Creatives Catalysts, the German Minister of State for Culture and the Media, Prof. Monika Grütters, will open the conference on the occasion of the German EU Council Presidency.

Key international figures from the European cultural sector will succeed her as speakers during the event. Sabine Verheyen, member of the European Parliament and Chairwoman of the Committee for Culture and Education, will comment on EU cultural and media policy.

Following up, Icelandic musician and composer Hildur Guðnadóttir, who this year received the Oscar for the film music she composed for Joker, will reflect on how film and music contribute to a more collaborative and human society.

She will be succeeded by Johanna Koljonen, media analyst and author of the Göteborg Film Festival's annual "Nostradamus Report", which looks into the near future of the audiovisual industry.  During the conference, she will present the 2020 report in an interview and provide an update for post-pandemic times.

Subsequently, Christian Mio Loclair, Creative Director at Waltz Binaire, a laboratory for creative innovations based on new technologies, data and innovative software experiments, will ponder on the implications of artificial intelligence for society, culture and art, and discuss the impact that Al has on these categories.

Lucía Recalde, Head of Creative Europe MEDIA, will thereafter give an update on CREATIVE EUROPE under the motto “New Stories, New Collaborations.”

"Connecting Cinemas in Rural Areas" is the name of the project that will be presented during a talk by Carolin Huder (Neue Kammerspiele Kleinmachnow), Susa Pop (Public Art Lab) and Gorana Barišić Bačelić (Fortress of Šibenik).
