The rough cut of Tinna Hrafnsdóttir's debut feature, a psychological drama with a touch of suspense entitled Quake, is almost ready. scheda film] (2018) as well as an actress on the police procedural TV show Valhalla Murders, the political tragicomedy series The Minister and Margrete, a historical epic drama shooting now in Prague.

Quake is based on Audur Jónsdóttir's book Grand Mal, published in 2015. Since the late 1990s, Jónsdóttir's novels have aroused interest in Iceland as well as abroad on account of their rare blend of incisive candour and humour. In detail, the story follows Saga (Aníta Briem), a single mother in her late thirties, who is struck down by a severe epileptic attack. During her recovery, repressed childhood memories unexpectedly start to resurface, revealing painful truths about herself and her past.

Alongside Briem, the film will star Edda Björgvinsdóttir, Jóhann Sigurðsson, Kristín Þóra Haraldsdóttir, Bergur Ebbi Benediktsson, Sveinn Geirsson, Benjamín Árni Daðason and the director herself. Meanwhile, the crew includes editor Davíð Alexander Corno (Woman at War [+leggi anche:

Quake is being produced by Hlín Jóhannesdóttir and Tinna Hrafnsdóttir for Reykjavik-based firm Ursus Pavus. The feature is set for release in 2021.
