Adolescentes follows best friends Emma and Anaïs, who would seem to have nothing in common, from their social backgrounds to their personalities. From the age of 13 to 18, Adolescentes follows the two teenagers during these years when radical transformations and first times are a regular feature of their daily lives. Through their personal stories, the film paints a rare portrait of France and its recent history.

Produced by Muriel Meynard for Agat Films & Cie, Adolescentes was co-produced by Arte France Cinéma and the Society and Culture Department of Arte France, and secured backing from the Ile-de-France region. The French theatrical distribution will be handled by Ad Vitam, while the international sales have been entrusted to Doc & Film International.
