The movie is also based on Charles Péguy’s stage play Le Mystère de la charité de Jeanne d'Arc, but this time it will not be a musical comedy. It will be shot next summer, and production duties have been entrusted to Jean Bréhat for 3B Productions.

Celluloid Dreams, which has high hopes for the Palme d’Or contender Three Faces by Iran’s Jafar Panahi at Cannes, has added The Love Trilogy by Israel’s Yaron Shani (Ajami) to its line-up. The first instalment, Stripped [+leggi anche:

scheda film], is nearing the end of post-production. Produced by Black Sheep Film Productions, the trilogy will be co-produced by Germany’s The Post Republic with backing from the Israel Film Fund, YES and ZDF/Arte. 

Memento Films International (see the line-up news) has announced the start of pre-sales for Wild Goose Lake by China’s Diao Yi’nan (Golden Bear at Berlin in 2014 for Black Coal), which is being co-produced by Memento Films Production and Arte France Cinéma. Starring Hu Ge, Tang Wei, Liao Fan (who snagged the Best Actor Award at Berlin for Black Coal) and Kwei Lun-Mei, the film will tell the story of a thief at the centre of a manhunt and his desperate struggle for redemption.

Sales are also getting under way, via Pathé International, for The Wolf’s Call [+leggi anche:
