In its 30th edition, the Warsaw Screenings section of the Warsaw Film Festival's CentEast market, intended to showcase the latest Polish productions and co-productions to international professionals, is introducing a financial award for for the best Polish film presented. Worth €4,600 (PLN 20,000) and funded by the Polish Film Institute, the award will be decided on by international professionals taking part in the screenings and given out during the closing gala of the Warsaw Film Festival, on Sunday, 16 October.
The list consists of 12 films, some of which are already making festival rounds and winning awards, including the Polish Oscar submission Afterimage [+leggi anche:

In addition to this new award, the festival is introducing a new section, the Warsaw Meetings. Besides being, rather obviously, meetings between Polish film professionals and their international counterparts, the section will present the advantages of co-producing with Poland in a panel called "How to make films with Poland."
