25 July will see the first clapperboard slam on All About The Levkoviches, marking the feature film debut of Ádám Breier, a director who previously turned heads via his short films Marea and Tides, as well as via his documentary The Baron Returns. Standing tall at the head of the cast we find seasoned actor Zoltán Bezerédi (whose lengthy film CV also includes My First Two Hundred Years, discovered in competition in Berlin in 1986, and who recently appeared in Beyond the Column [+lire aussi :

Written by Ádám Breier and Bálint Csaba, the story revolves around a generous but stubborn, elderly boxing coach who gets on well with everyone, apart from his own son. They haven’t spoken since the young man moved to Israel and became religious. But when they’re reunited during a one-week mourning ceremony, father and son are forced to face up to past grievances.

All About The Levkoviches is produced by Miklós Kázmér, Andrea Ausztrics and Ádám Felszeghy on behalf of ULab and enjoys support from Hungary’s National Film Institute (NFI). Filming will unfold from 25 July to 24 August with Zoltán Dévényi heading up photography (Curtiz [+lire aussi :
