German Films lance sa 7e campagne Face to Face

Cet article est disponible en anglais.

German Films continues its work for the international promotion of German cinema as one of the most important institutions of its kind. This year sees the launch of its seventh edition of the Face to Face campaign. Since last year, the concept has changed insofar as to present talents from different sections together, allowing for a particularly multifaceted view on the new generation of German filmmakers. While the Face to Face campaign of 2021 focused on eight women from the departments of cinematography, animation, directing, acting, music composing and costume design, this edition includes a total of seven female and male representatives from the fields of directing, editing, acting, production and cinematography. Looking at the biographies of the talents, what stands out is the heterogeneous quality of their artistic and cultural influences, reflecting the diversity of German reality itself. Moreover, most of them do not only concentrate on one section of their profession, but comply with different tasks at once.

"It is a great honour for us to be able to welcome seven talented filmmakers as ambassadors of our campaign this year. Their work addresses issues as diverse as their professional backgrounds and personal stories," said German Films Managing Director Simone Baumann.
