fiche film], which swept the Venice International Film Critics' Week in 2014, taking home four prizes, and went on to win awards at Abu Dhabi, Cairo, Palm Springs, Wiesbaden and Zagreb, is shooting a new film, Dwelling Among the Gods.

The drama tells the story of young Afghani woman Fereshteh, who arrives in Serbia as a refugee with her husband, Reza, and their three little children, only to find out that her younger brother Ali, who came to Belgrade a few weeks before, has drowned and will soon be buried as an NN person.

Fereshteh refuses to leave Belgrade before burying her brother under his proper name, and in order to get the permit to take charge of the body, she initiates a complex and uncertain procedure to prove her brother's identity through a DNA sample from her deeply traditional father, who is still in Afghanistan.

Billed as a modern interpretation of Antigone, and co-written by Ršumović and Momir Turudić, the film stars Iranian-based Afghani actress Fereshteh Hosseini, Iranian actor Reza Akhlaghi, Branka Katić, Nikola Ristanovski, Vule Marković and Miloš Timotijević. fiche film] cinematographer Damjan Radovanović, and edited by Aleksandar Stanojević and Mirko Bojović, who is also producing through Belgrade-based BaBoon Production. Italian company Nightswim and Croatia's Kinorama are on board as co-producers.

Dwelling Among the Gods finishes its Belgrade tranche of principal photography this week, and the team will move on to shoot a number of scenes in Iran at a later date.
