as their pick for Best Film. It comes as no surprise, too – Mariusz Wilczyński’s animated magnum opus is a precious gem of a movie, which should not be overlooked just to keep the galas’ levels of suspense intact. The Polish Film Awards ceremony proved to be no exception, as Kill It and Leave This Town netted the Golden Eagle for Best Film, as well as three other gongs, for Best Screenplay (Mariusz Wilczyński), Best Music (Tadeusz Nalepa) and Best Sound (Franciszek Kozłowski). by Jan Komasa picked up the Audience Award. Jan P Matuszyński, the director of King of Warsaw, a show set in 1930s Warsaw, accepted the Best Series Award. The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to score composer and legendary jazz musician Jerzy “Duduś” Matuszkiewicz.
