The CEE Animation Forum has announced the juries and awards of its pitching competition, which will take place online from 24-26 April, and will include 40 animated projects in development. For more details on the projects, see the news.

Fifteen jury members across five categories will follow the pre-recorded pitches and recognise standout artistic and story elements, market and co-production potential, and the pitch quality of the projects. The winners in each category will receive a financial prize of €1,000. The CEE Animation Workshop and Animation Sans Frontières training programme representatives will grant free scholarships and offer selected teams the chance to attend the upcoming edition.

The juries will also have the possibility to appoint up to two projects for a direct selection for Cartoon Movie 2022 (in the feature-films category), Cartoon Forum 2021 (TV series category), Cartoon Masters Springboard 2021 (young talents) or Cartoon 360 2021 (transmedia projects). In the context of the cooperation set up with Animation Production Days, two projects will get direct access to the 2022 edition.

For the first time, the CEE Animation Forum is starting a collaboration with the Ciclic Animation residency centre: one selected project will receive a direct invitation to its residency at Ciclic Val de Loire. Thanks to collaborations with other events focusing on the animation industry, two teams will receive free accreditations to Animarkt and Kids Kino Industry. The audience will also vote for the best pitch across all five categories, via the webpage www.ceeanimation.eu.

Registration is now open, and after purchasing the accreditation, people will gain full access to the one-on-one meetings with attending industry professionals, authors and decision makers, and also to exclusive content: an expert lecture by Wendy Bernfeld on VoD and animation, film screenings, and the Animation Production Days networking event. The price of the full accreditation for film professionals is €20, and for students, it costs €10.
