Produced by Warner Bros. Entertainment Italia and Picomedia (Roberto Sessa), the film boasts several big names from the world of Italian cinema, as well as a new, promising generation of young actors: Valeria Golino, Riccardo Scamarcio and Jasmine Trinca will share the stage with Benedetta Porcaroli (star of the TV series Baby) and Ludovico Tersigni (Skam Italia), who will likewise be joined by Valentina Cervi, Fausto Russo Alesi and Fabrizio Gifuni.

) and Stefano Mordini himself, La scuola cattolica unfolds in a residential neighbourhood of Rome dominated by a renowned Catholic school for boys frequented by kids from the upper-middle-classes. Their families believe that, in this setting, their sons can grow up protected from the turmoil rippling through society, and that this strict education will pave the way to a dazzling future. On the night of 29-30 September 1975, however, something snaps, and this fortress of unassailable values crumbles under the weight of one of the most heinous crimes of the era: the Circeo Massacre. The perpetrators turn out to be ex-students of the school, an establishment also frequented by Edoardo who tries to explain what triggered such odious, blind violence in those young minds, which found themselves excited by distorted political ideas and an unstoppable desire for supremacy.

Filming on La scuola cattolica will unfold across eight weeks in Rome and San Felice Circeo, with the movie set to be released in Italian cinemas by Warner Bros. Pictures.
