The movie follows Martin (played by Mads Mikkelsen) and three of his friends, all tired high-school teachers, who embark on an experiment to keep up a constant level of intoxication throughout the workday. Originally set to be premiered at the 2020 Cannes Film Festival, Vinterberg’s feature ended up being presented at Toronto and San Sebastián in September. It will also open Film Fest Gent on 13 October (see the news).

To date, over 30 distributors have acquired the film from Copenhagen-based international sales agent TrustNordisk.
