DocuShuk, the online marketing and streaming service for film professionals, has announced that the Israeli programme of the Tel Aviv International Documentary Film Festival Docaviv (3-11 September) will be available on its platform.

As part of the collaboration with Docaviv, DocuShuk presents a selection of 21 Israeli premieres, and provides programmers and buyers with access to screeners and direct contact to rights holders. These include films by acclaimed Israeli directors, such as Duki Dror's Lebanon - Borders of Blood, Noami Shory's Shocken, On the Verge of Consensus and Yoav Shamir's The Prophet and the Space Aliens [+lire aussi :

"We’re happy to be partnering up with Docaviv 2020 and present the Israeli premieres on the DocuShuk platform,” says Pnina Halfon Lang, CoPro's executive director and head of DocuShuk. “We have created a digital tool for decision makers in order to scout and find the best Israeli films available. The platform is relevant now more than ever in these challenging times, and provides a user-friendly solution for professionals in this reality of travel restrictions and online festivals.”

The year-round platform, which is provided by CoPro, Israel's documentary marketing foundation, allows international industry professionals to constantly stay up to date with the newest Israeli documentary films. It was launched in late May last year, during the Co-Production Market in Tel Aviv. The catalogue includes new documentary films as well as projects in development that were selected for the market and which are available for registered commissioning editors, sales agents and producers.

The 2020 Co-Production Market was shifted to an online version owing to COVID-19, with the screening platform being a key component.

“The international film industry was affected dramatically as a result of the pandemic. We use our platform and services in order to assist the Israeli documentary community to reach out and promote their films to the world remotely,” says Halfon Lang. “We invite buyers, festival programmers and other industry professionals to join our network free of charge and enjoy the vibrant catalogue of brilliant Israeli docs.”

Israeli films from Docaviv will be available the day after their premiere at the festival. Click here to sign up.
