Cet article est disponible en anglais.

A total of 36 new feature-film projects hailing from 34 countries are being invited to the 17th edition of the Berlinale Co-Production Market. The projects and the teams behind them – which are taking part in four separate segments – will have the chance to meet international film professionals from various fields and from around the globe while participating in a total of 1,500 pre-organised one-on-one meetings. As was the case last year, five selected production houses will enjoy a special focus offered by the “Company Matching” programme. An integral part of the European Film Market (EFM, 20-27 February), the Berlinale Co-Production Market will run for five days, from 22-26 February.

For the official programme of the market, 21 feature-film projects have been selected from among the 302 submitted. The majority are European productions or co-productions, and their budgets range from €750,000 to €5 million. They will all be presented by their production companies, and they must already have secured support from their home countries or a minimum of 30% of their financing. Also, for the first time, over 50% of the selected projects are directed by women, with 11 projects in the main programme and a total of 15 across all sections.
