synopsis
Reflection of the society and vector of the occidental culture, American cinema influences the entire world since its debuts. For more than 45 years, the Deauville American Film Festival is the main European window on American films; having his biggest directors and stars stood on the famous Normandy boardwalk, Les Planches. This documentary tells the story of the Festival and examines the current state of US indie films, with the testimonies of about twenty American and French cinema figures.
