Alemania ha elegido ya a su estrella: se trata de Daniel Bruehl, de 24 años. Bruehl recibió el premio Max Ophuls por su interpretación de un joven esquizofrénico en Das weisse Rauschen de Hans Weingarten, así como el premio alemán al mejor actor por las películas Nichts bereuen de Benjamin Quabeck, Das weisse Rauschen y Vaya con Dios de Zoltan Spirandelli.
Las candidaturas de cada país al programa Shooting Stars deben presentarse antes del uno de diciembre.

, I must admit that I don't remember a lot of that time.
I had to get in contact with people from former East-Germany, that was the most important thing: the time of preparation. And so it was like a history-lesson for me because during history-lessons in school I used to sleep and so I had to work on that.
In Europe there should be more co-productions, but I think it is getting better. It is always difficult for an actor to get good scripts, you are always waiting for a good one. It is good to be known in other countries, so that the possibility to get a good script is bigger. That's my motto for today and tonight: 'Alles wird gut' - 'Everything will be fine'".
