Although Hungarian cinema will not benefit this year from the projectors of the various sections of the 75th Cannes Film Festival, it will be present at the Marché du Film (which starts today), in particular with the international sales team of the NFI (National Film Institute Hungary), headed by Klaudia Androsovits.

(which was appreciated in Karlovy Vary in 2012, in the East of the West programme). In the cast, we find the same main quartet of Zsolt Nagy, Gabriella Hámori, János Kulka and Péter Scherer, who are this time supported by Viktória Staub and Ákos Orosz among others. , and nominated in 2019 and 2020) is again at the helm of the script, which this time plunges into 1963 (the first part was set in 1957) in Budapest where the loyalty of a veteran counter-espionage agent is put to the test by his protégé in a dangerous spy game.

The plot? Counterintelligence officer András Jung (Zsolt Nagy) leads a perfect life: he is happily married to Éva (Gabriella Hámori), and the only thing standing between him and the promotion he wants is a competitive colleague, Kulcsár (Péter Scherer). When the legendary spy Pál Markó (János Kulka) returns in connection with an unsolved case, the twists and turns begin and so does a merciless battle where nothing and no one is what they seem and where a simple human gesture can cost one's life... The NFI World Sales Cannes line-up also includes the documentary Katinka, the Movie by Norbert Palinkás, based on a script also written by Norbert Köbli, about the swimmer Katinka Hosszú, nicknamed the Iron Lady, three-time Olympic champion in Rio and nine-time world champion, who is preparing for the 2020 Tokyo Games when suddenly the pandemic suspends time...
