The 19th edition of the Zagreb Film Festival presented a wide and varied selection of industry events, mixing the staple diet of workshops such as My First Script, My First Video Game and Industry Youth! (pitching workshop and forum) with master classes and panels held by established professionals. This year's choice of topics continued spreading the focus from strictly cinema to other branches of the audiovisual industry, such as television and video games, while also paying attention to education aspects regarding film-watching and ecology.

with the goal of better understanding both worlds. Both masterclasses were realised in collaboration with the Croatian Association of Film Workers (HDFD) and moderated by Croatian producer Tamara Babun. The third masterclass was given by award-winning Croatian cinematographer Vanja Černjul, best known for his work on American independent films and high-profile TV series. The president of the Croatian Cinematographers Society Mario Sablić served as the moderator.

The event dedicated to video games consisted of a lecture titled 'How Are Video Games Different' delivered by French educator Stéphane Natkin (professor emeritus at CNAM, Paris and the member of the group Mobility Interaction and Media at the Research Laboratory CEDRIC) followed by the panel 'From Film to Games: The Future of the Creative Media' where Natkin was joined by Thierry Baujard (co-founder of SpielFabrique), Mario Čelan (of Inkubator Pismo), Christopher P. Marcich (Head of the Croatian Audiovisual Centre – HAVC) and Davor Švaić (Dean of the Academy of the Dramatic Arts – ADU in Zagreb). Another panel called 'Spotlight Italy' aimed at presenting the minority co-production potentials of Italy and strengthening the cooperation between the audiovisual sectors of Italy and Croatia. Under the moderation by Tina Hajon, the panellists were Maria Giuseppina Troccoli (Head of the Cinema and Audiovisual Department of the Italian Ministry of Culture), Roberto Stabile (Head of ANICA International Department and ITA Audiovisual Desks Coordinator), Alessandro Gropplero (Head of international relations at FVG), Christopher P. Marcich, Ines Vasiljević (producer) and Vanja Jambrović (producer).

At the traditional Industry Youth! Workshop and Pitching Forum, students of the six academies from the six ex-Yugoslav countries polished their pitching skills under the mentorship of producer Čedomir Kolar, communications trainer specialised in pitching Sibylle Kurz, script consultant David Pope and the producer of ZFF Industry Inja Korać. On the final event, they pitched them to the jury composed of Jovan Marjanović (Head of Industry at Sarajevo FF), Goran Turković (of Studio Šesnić&Turković) and Tomislav Vujnović (of Poster). The two companies also provided the awards. See the full list of participants below.

Other educational events also took place as the part of ZFF industry, like the traditional My First Video Game Creative Workshop for Children (this year mentored by IT specialist Nika Tilić), and less traditional ones like the workshop called 'From Cinema to Classroom: Short Film Teaching Method' (under the mentorship of film scholar Ana Đordić and screenwriter Uroš Živanović), ZFF Film Club for Cinephiles 54+ (mentored by the film critic Nino Kovačić) and the film and literature critical thinking workshop 'Read What You Watch' (mentored by Kovačić and filmmaker Marina Andree Škop). The online workshop 'How to Reduce Personal Waste' mentored by Ana Marija Mileusnić of Green Action showed the dedication of the Zagreb Film Festival to the green agenda.
