At the end of an intensive day of pitching, the jury (Charles Tesson, Dennis Ruh and Dominique Welinski) of the 10^th edition of the Arras Days, which hands out development support grants as part of the 22^nd Arras Film Festival, awarded two sophomore feature film projects.

The main grant (€7,500 given by the Arras Film Festival) went to Bleach from Kosovar filmmaker Kaltrina Krasniqi, discovered this year in the Orizzonti section in Venice with her feature debut Vera Dreams of the Sea [+lee también:

ficha de la película]. Bleach’s main character is 50-year-old Fatime, a domestic worker from the Prishtina outskirts, mother of two and wife to Avdi, a forklift driver. Having built her experience working in other people’s homes ever since she was a teenager, Fatime seizes the opportunity to work as a cleaner in a company in the city, expecting a safer and more transparent work environment. The company is run by charismatic woman Elvira (40s), who charms Fatime to the point of making her believe that the two have become friends. But an incident which discloses Elvira’s private life to Fatime tarnishes their relationship so badly, that no amount of bleach would be able to clean it up… 

The second development support grant (€5,000 given by the City of Arras) went to Hesitation Wound [+lee también:
