After beginning on 7 June, filming on L’année du requin by Ludovic and Zoran Boukherma will be nearly complete this week in South-West France, with just three days of underwater filming left to be shot in September. This will be the two brothers’ third feature after Willy 1er [+lee también:

Written by the two directors, the script sees a shark prowling in the bay of Arcachon, sending the entire Landes coast into high alert. Maja, a Coast Guard about to go on early retirement, jumps on the occasion to have one final mission…
Produced by Pierre-Louis Garnon for Baxter Films and Frédéric Jouve for Les Films Velvet, L’année du requin is co-produced by France 3 Cinéma. Pre-bought by Canal+ and Ciné+, the feature film benefits from the support of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, of the Landes department (where filming took place) and of the Sofitvciné Sofica. French distribution will be handled by The Jokers/Les Bookmakers, and international sales by WTFilms.
