CPH:FORUM, the international financing and co-production event for creative documentaries, part of the leading Nordic documentary festival CPH:DOX, has announced the 35 international projects that have been selected for this year's edition, plus another eight Nordic works in progress that will be presented in the CPH:WIP section.

Out of 422 submissions, CPH:FORUM picked projects by 43 filmmakers hailing from 27 countries. 46% of the directors are women, 43% are men, and the remaining 11% are co-directing teams of men and women. 34% of the stories are told by filmmakers of colour.

The line-up includes new works from established and prominent filmmakers, such as Lech Kowalski's A Little Story About an Immeasurable Problem, Jørgen Leth and Andreas Koefoed's Cold & Warm, Mads Brügger's Double Trouble, Alisa Kovalenko's Expedition 49, Lucy Walker's The Forest for the Trees, Margreth Olin's Songs of Earth [+lee también:

, Radu Ciorniciuc and Lina Vdovîi's TATA/Father, Eugene Jarecki's The Elephant in the Room, and Sophie Fiennes' The Pervert's Guide to Utopias. For the full list, please scroll down.

The 35 projects will be presented in five categories: FICTIONONFICTION (challenging works in the hybrid landscape between fiction and non-fiction), CINEMA (high-end, theatrical, feature-length documentaries with international distribution potential), F:ACT (projects bridging the fields of filmmaking, investigative journalism and activism), ART (film projects by visual artists to be screened both within the institution of cinema and within that of visual art) and SCIENCE (creative documentary film and new-media projects on science and technology).

"In the context of the increasingly mono-cultural mainstream space, CPH:DOX’s mission to nurture non-fiction as a wide variety of genres and artistic expressions has never been more relevant," says Katrine Kiilgaard, head of Industry and deputy director at CPH:DOX. "Adapting to the new circumstances, we stand by our long-standing commitment to connect professionals from across the fields of non-fiction, fiction, visual art, journalism and science in order to create a shared culture and foster a rich documentary community with a clear voice in civil society.”

CPH:FORUM will take place from 26-30 April, while CPH:DOX will unspool from 21 April-2 May.
