Written by Fabien Gorgeart, the script for La Vraie Famille centres on Anna who lives with her husband, her two sons and Simon, a child placed at their house by Child Care Services when he was just 18 months old and is now aged 6. One day, Simon’s father expresses the desire to get his child back. It is heartbreaking, but Anna knows she must help Simon to return to his father…

Produced by Marie Dubas for Deuxième Ligne Films with Jean des Forêts for Petit Film (which already worked on Diane Has The Right Shape), La Vraie Famille was pre-bought by Canal+, Ciné+, C8 and CStar, and benefits from the support of the Ile-de-France, Bretagne and Normandie regions, as well as the Cinémage, Cinéventure, Cofinova and Indéfilms Soficas. Filming, which began in Rennes and Dol-de-Bretagne before moving to Normandy for a few days, currently continues in Ile-de-France and will conclude in the Alps.
