French firm Les Films du Losange (headed up by Margaret Ménégoz) has always appreciated and lent its support to extraordinary authors. In this respect, its international sales arm (steered by Alice Lesort) will feel quiet at home working on My Best Part, the first feature film directed by actor Nicolas Maury, at the Cannes Film Festival’s Online Marché du Film (running 22-26 June).
Benefitting from the Cannes 73 Official Selection Label, the film (read our news) will be pre-sold on the basis of an exclusive trailer, shored up by video interviews with the director and with his principal (co)stars. Indeed, Nicolas Maury (who made a great impression in Knife + Heart [+lee también:

The script (written by the actor-director himself) follows the misadventures of Jérémie, who’s round-about thirty and struggling to get his acting career off the ground. His love life is undermined by his repeated fits of jealousy, leaving his relationship floundering on the rocks. He decides to leave Paris and return home to his birth-region, Limousin, where he will try to sort himself out while living with his mother... Produced by Charles Gillibert on behalf of CG Cinéma, the feature film will be distributed in France on 28 October by Les Films du Losange.
Another ace in this virtual Film Market line-up is a previously unreleased promo reel of Benoît Jacquot’s Suzanna Andler, which is currently in post-production. Starring Charlotte Gainsbourg and Niels Schneider, this Les Films du Lendemain production has been scheduled for release in France on 2 December 2020, courtesy of Les Films du Losange.
Last but not least, market screenings are on the cards for the Austrian title Oskar & Lily [+lee también:
