The independent European platform CineMember.EU is now aiming towards pan-European expansion within the next years in its strategy to provide all of Europe with access to independent, quality content.

The platform is pushing specifically for attracting younger audiences (below 30) with unique discounts and addon solutions to e.g. the arthouse cinema-pass, Cineville, and recently a similar agreement was signed with CJP, a cultural pass for youths. The goal is to attract the audiences which shape the current market and simultaneously introduce a single-entry point to the quality content for which Europe is known. In doing so, CineMember.EU also aims at discovering, developing, and connecting young talents for future films and series.

CineMember.EU is a distributor-led OTT collective, initiated in the Netherlands by leading distributors September Films with Cinéart, Paradiso, Lumière and Cinemien. The platform is striving for a franchise model based on proven practices, which allows independent distributors Europe-wide to join the collaborative effort for a sustainable future. This mode of expansion also allows distributors to tap into other markets by relying on CineMember.EU’s presence, and simultaneously retain their rights and thereby access new revenue streams.

The platform brings together audiences and professionals across Europe in a united front to democratize the online screening market. Aiming to introduce younger audiences to the rich world of European content, they are already now in talks with many key partners. Several deals have been made with distributors across Benelux, and the platform is moving into Eastern Europe and Scandinavia within the following year, and are in talks to increase the catalog and strengthen the promotional efforts.
