Heaven’s Heart sold to the US

TrustNordisk has sold Simon Staho’s chamber drama Heaven's Heart [+see also:

film profile] to IFC Distribution in the US, who will include it in its straight to video service, Festival Direct Programme.

film profile]. Produced by Jonas Frederiksen for Trollhättan AB in Sweden and XX Film in Denmark, Heaven’s Heart recently screened in San Sebastian’s Pearls section. The film was previously sold to Benelux (A Film), Hungary (Cirko Film) and Australian TV (SBS/Pan).
Staho’s new project, Kærlighedens krigere (“Warriors of Love”), is now in post-production. The story about two young lesbians who must commit a murder to save their relationship stars up-and-coming Swedish actresses Josefin Ljungman and Shima Niavarani. The film is produced by Nordisk Film in co-production with Trollhättan Film, Film I Väst, Zentropa, XX Film and support from the Danish Film Institute.
