Eldorado soon to be found in America

The second feature film by Belgium’s Bouli Lanners, winner of Label Europa Cinemas and the FIPRESCI prize in the latest Directors’ Fortnight of the Cannes Film Festival, has been sold to Canada and the US, said Lanners, on hand in Rome for the Italian press screening of the film, which will be released by Archibald Enterprise on August 29.

Lanners is also scheduled to return to Italy soon, to the Neapolitan set of the new film by Albert Dupontel. Promoting Eldorado kept him from attending the Pesaro Film Festival, where the film was awarded by a jury of university students “for the painstaking psychology of its main characters, the story’s pressing rhythm and the harmony between the music and the images. It is an original reflection on loneliness, made with intelligent and subtle humour”.
