The first session of this year’s Mediterranean Film Institute Script 2 Film Workshops is taking place on Nisyros from 24 June-7 July, and the script and project development training initiative has also unveiled its full programme.
One of the schedule’s highlights is the presence of creative couple from Belgium Julie Mahieu and Jonas Geirnaert, well known for their series The Day, which has been festooned with prizes, including the CITEM Award at the Biografilm Festival, the Best European Fiction Award at La Rochelle, and Best Series, Best Directing and Best Scenario at the Ensor Awards, among others.
Some of the activities include a lecture by producer Simon de Santiago (Biutiful [+see also:

From a Mid-Wife Angle”, for all participants.
Furthermore, Martina Bleis, head of the Berlinale Co-Production Market, is delivering a lecture on international co-productions and co-production markets, while Christian Routh, script analyst and co-head of studies at ScripTeast, is giving an online lecture about the “Screenwriter's Paradox”, and film marketing expert Nicolò Gallio is using two case studies from the 2022 MFI Script 2 Film Workshops to connect scripts to audiences.
Also, two open-air screenings of films are being organised: The Reports on Sarah and Saleem [+see also:
