Written by the director together with Mathias Gavarry in collaboration with Judith Godinot, the script centres on 12-year-old Max, who has two families. His friends, who are always there for him. And his mother, rather absent since his brother Seb has gone to prison. When the latter comes back home, Max believes that things will return to normal. But that’s without counting on the trouble catching up with his brother. In trying to help Seb and save his family, Max will drag his friends into a seemingly inevitable downfall…

Produced by Philippe Wendling, Noël Fuzellier and Marine Lapaulmier for Les Films Norfolk and by Alice Girard for Rectangle Productions, The Fantastic Three was pre-bought by Canal+ and Ciné+, and benefits from the support of the advance on receipts of the CNC, the Grand Est region, the Ardenne Rives de Meuse community of communes and the Cinémage Sofica. The 32 days of filming will take place in Charleville-Mézières and in Revin, before ending on 6 August. French distribution will be handled by Tandem, and international sales are at a very advanced stage of negotiations.
