The nine projects participating in the sixth edition of SeriesLab — the annual program of TorinoFilmLab dedicated to TV series, which will take place from June to October and develops innovative and high profile international projects — come from five different countries (Belgium, Germany, Romania, Serbia and the UK).

The 23 participating professionals (11 women and 12 men, including screenwriters, directors and producers) will be guided by Nicola Lusuardi (Italy) and tutors Francesca De Lisi (Italy), Anne Feinsilber (France) and Simon Judd (UK) through the creative process of a TV series, from the formulation of ideas and the preparation of the material, to the final presentation in front of the best professionals of the international TV industry.

“The final selection, as always, privileges variety and aesthetic, tonal and genre diversity,” Lusuardi explains. “For the first time, two Romanian projects are part of the shortlist, and this is also Germany’s first time being represented. Finally, our very happy partnership with Belgium is confirmed, as the country is taking part in the Lab with three projects.”

In addition, five screenwriters have been chosen to continue their journey with SeriesLab - Talents, the new TFL program led by Tony Grisoni with the support of Rory Gleeson (story editor), which aims to discover and train the best emerging talents in new drama writing. In parallel with SeriesLab, participants will have the opportunity to experience work in a real writers' room during an intensive five-month training course that will end with a presentation in one of the main European television markets in 2023. The selected participants in the first edition of SeriesLab - Talents are: Alice Von Gwinner (Germany), Carla Grauls (Belgium), Fabrizio Muscia (Italy), Nach Solis (Spain), and Svitlana Topor (Poland).
