Written by the director (who was nominated for the 2019 Best Original Screenplay César 2019 by way of Guy), the story revolves around César, who resurfaces in Salomé’s life after having vanished overnight and discovers he’s the father of a three-year-old girl. This time, he will do everything he can to make the grade when it comes to their relationship…

Produced by Constantin Briest on behalf of Latika Films (representing the first feature film on the outfit’s books) and co-produced by Alba Films (who will also manage distribution in French cinemas), Romantique has been pre-purchased by Canal+ and Ciné+, and enjoys the support of the SOFICA company Cofimage. The film was shot over the course of 27 days in Paris and the surrounding area, with Marie Demaison at the helm of photography. International sales are steered by Charades.
