Described as a radical, authentic and sensitive insight into the unsettling feeling of being young and an inside perspective on Ukrainian youth, it is a story of introverted high-school girl Masha, who sees herself as an outsider unless she hangs around with Yana and Senia, who share her non-conformist status.

While trying to navigate through an intense time of her pre-graduation year, Masha falls in love, which forces her to venture outside of her comfort zone. It is a deeply personal story about self-discovery and the patience it requires.

The film features an ensemble cast of 25 youngsters, headed by Maria Fedorchenko as Masha, Arsenii Markov as Senia and Yana Isaienko as Yana. Oleksandr Roshchyn lensed the film, Maryana Klochko composed the score, and Nikon Romanchenko edited the picture together with the director.

Stop-Zemlia was produced by Vitalii Sheremetiev, Vika Khomenko, Natalia Libet and Olga Beskhmelnytsina for Ukraine’s ESSE Production House, and Germany's Pluto Film has the international rights.
