At its 161st meeting held online, the Board of Management of the Council of Europe's Eurimages Fund agreed to support 17 feature film projects for a total amount of €4,124,000. The share of eligible projects with female directors examined at this Eurimages Board of Management meeting was 44%; 38% of the projects supported were directed by women and €1,354,000 was awarded to these projects, representing 33% of the total amount awarded.

Furthermore, Eurimages adopted the 2021 budget of €480,000 for the Promotion Support Programme. This covers 7 Eurimages Co-production Development Awards of €20,000 each, 8 sponsoring partnerships for a total of €50,000, and the participation of Eurimages in the Berlin, Cannes and Venice film markets, depending on the format to be adopted. It also includes the design of an animated version of the Eurimages logo and a financial participation of €70,000 towards the Eurimages Co-production Award at the European Film Awards (EFA). The entity also adopted an action plan to implement the Eurimages Gender Equality Strategy (2021-2023) and decided to launch a call for sponsorship proposals for 2021 which will be published in January 2021. Eurimages also published the first edition of its Gold Album - Female Directors, showcasing 50 Eurimages-supported films made by women.
