The MIDPOINT Institute has announced the four projects selected for the new edition of MIDPOINT Shorts. The programme will take off in September with a preparatory three-day online workshop, during which the participants will obtain the initial feedback on the projects, meet their colleagues and tutors, and get their first assignment. 

The second, five-day workshop will also be organised online in October, while the final workshop will bring participants to Trieste in January 2021 to present their projects within the When East Meets West Co-production Forum and further network with film-industry experts.

Czech script consultant and director Pavel Marek is coming back as the head of studies of the programme and group leader of the four selected projects, and Lithuanian producer and short-film expert Marija Razgute is also returning as a producer tutor, guiding the producers and the overall production development of the projects.
