A golden opportunity has presented itself to those looking to develop original film projects. Up until 17 June 2020, individuals can apply to take part in Racconti #9, the Script Lab organised by the IDM – Alto Adige Film Fund & Commission and aimed at screenwriters, director and producers of all nationalities, whether established or emerging, which has this year been designed for the development of feature films.

The training programme will be split across 3 residential workshops unfolding in the Alto Adige region and overseen by international experts. Taking on the role of Script Tutor for Racconti #9 is Eszter Angyalosy, a Hungarian writer and screenwriter who works as an editor for HBO Hungary and is the author of a dozen or so original series, including the 2nd and 3rd seasons of Golden Life, broadcast in 17 European countries as well as in the US.

In the shoes of Production Trainer we find Eilon Ratzkovsky, who will lend her experience as a producer and the CEO of July August Productions - an Israeli production company which she founded in 2003 – and also as a teacher at TorinoFilmLab and for Biennale College Cinema. These are just a couple of the experts who, in league with guest lecturers, will monitor the progress of Racconti #9’s participants via group sessions, one-to-one meetings and dedicated masterclasses.

The objective of the course is to guide participants through the entire creative, filmmaking process, covering writing, production, marketing strategies and audience engagement. Project presentations will also be prepared in anticipation of the pitches set to be held in the 2021 edition of “Incontri” (“Meetings”), the IDM’s annual Film Conference. Here, participants will get the opportunity to talk to co-producers, VOD platforms or broadcasters who might wish to become part of the production team, alongside the overall production company holding the rights to the project.
