by Claire Denis) and Paul Guilhaume (who previously helped out in the writing of Ava), the story centres around Vicky, a 7-year-old girl, who lives with her two parents in a small mountain village in France, bordering a huge lake known as "Les Cinq Diables" (The Five Devils). This little girl is very close to her mother, to the point that her father struggles to find a place for himself in the family circle. Produced by Fanny Yvonnet on behalf of Trois Brigands Productions and by Jean-Louis Livi for F comme Film (a duo who have already worked with the director, on Ava), The Five Devils is co-produced by Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Cinéma (and also enjoys production support from the region). The film has been pre-purchased by Canal+ and Ciné+, and enjoys the support of the Ile-de-France region. The film shoot will unfold in Isère between 16 March and 10 April, before resuming in the Paris region until 19 May, with Paul Guilhaume (whose back catalogue includes Ava, but also Heroes Don’t Die [+see also:
