Museum of the Revolution triumphs at East Doc Platform

- The Serbian-Croatian co-production has won the EDP and IDFA Forum Awards, while other prizes went to projects from the Czech Republic, Russia, Ukraine and Serbia

The East Doc Platform (EDP), the largest industry platform for Central and Eastern European documentaries, which took place from 9-15 March as an integral part of the One World Prague Documentary Film Festival, announced its awards last night at a ceremony in one of the event's venues, the Tibet Open House.

triumphed, winning the main prize, the EDP Award, worth €7,500, and the IDFA Forum Award, which provides the winning team with travel, accommodation, and access to the market and the training programme at the biggest European documentary festival. The project is a co-production between Serbia's UZROK and Croatia's Restart

The Czech project Wolves on the Borders! by Martin Páv received an EDP Honourable Mention. The HBO Europe Development Award, worth €2,000, went to The New Greatness Case [+see also:

(working title: The New Imperium) by Russian director Anna Shishova-Bogolubova, produced by Ethnofund.

Czech-Japanese filmmaker Haruna Honcoop's Olympic Halftime picked up the Golden Funnel Award, worth €1,000, as well as the newly established Sunny Side of the Doc Award, which provides the team with three accreditations and two nights’ accommodation at the La Rochelle-based event. The film is a co-production between the Czech Republic, Slovakia and France. 

The Czech TV Co-production Award, worth €6,000, went to A Marriage, a Czech-US co-production co-directed by Kateřina Hager and Asad Faruqi

The Russian-Estonian Untitled Rastorguev Project by Susanna Baranzhieva pocketed the Current Time TV Award, while the Docs Barcelona Award, providing the winner with an invitation to this particular festival market's speed meetings, was given to Fragile Memory by Ukraine's Ihor Ivanko

The Sheffield Doc/Fest Award, which offers the best Czech project a pass to the British event, went to Kiruna - A Brand New World [+see also:

by Greta Stocklassa. The film was presented in the Czech Docs… Coming Soon section and will have its world premiere in the International Competition of Visions du Réel. 

The biggest German documentary event, DOK Leipzig, gave out two prizes. The Russian project The Pit by Nikolay Bem will take part in the festival's Co-production Meeting, while Bottlemen [+see also:
