, discovered in Toronto and launched today in France on 200 screens by Gaumont. Globally supported by the press, which has always had a soft spot for the offbeat work of the two brothers (who had taken part in the competition in Cannes in 2005 with To Pain and Make Love [+see also:

), the feature sees the Larrieu brothers tackle the thriller genre by adapting the novel Incidences by Philippe Djian. The result is nothing if not surprising (without however being a complete success), in suggestive sets and with the help of a cast also including Karin Viard, Maïwenn and Sara Forestier. Produced by Arena Films with Arte France Cinéma (news), Gaumont and Rhône-Alpes Cinéma, Love is the Perfect Crime was coproduced by Swiss company Vega Film and the RTS.
