The current selection of film projects that are selected for the production support by the German Federal Film Board reflects a huge variety in terms of genres. Among the eleven feature film projects that get cash injections worth € 100,000 to € 450,000 are comedies, dramas, thrillers, animated and action films for kids.

The highest production support of € 450,000 was given to the romantic comedy specialist Hans Rath who brings the successful novel Da muss man durch with Wotan Wilke Möhring and Jan Josef Liefers(photo) on the big screen. After his mysterious adventure Krabat [+see also:

, German director Marco Kreuzpaintner is going to shoot the romantic comedy Coming-In about a gay guy who falls in love with a woman.

After the popular film series Die wilden Kerle, writer-director Joachim Mansannek continues to do action movies for children. His new project V8² – Die Rache der Nitros received € 250,000. The same amount of money was green lighted for the production of the thriller Who Am I with Tom Schilling about a 25-year old misfit who plays a dangerous game in the virtual world of the web.

The Berlin-based Memari und Knudsen & Streuber Medienmanufaktur gets € 300,000 so that the animated adventure Richard the Stork [+see also:

by Toby Genkel can start to fly. Further production support goes to Andreas Dresen’s new tragicomedy Als wir träumten (€ 300,000), Justus von Dohnanyi’s Desaster (€ 100,00) as well as Im Labyrinth (€ 200,000) by Giulio Ricciarelli with German shooting star Alexander Fehling.
