Manuli launches crowdfunding effort for a film starring Abel Ferrara

film profile]) has launched a crowdfunding campaign through a digital platform called Indiegogo to finance his new film with Abel Ferrara (photo).
Davide Manuli intends to raise enough money to entirely finance his next feature film Haiku in which the American director has already agreed to play the main role.
The film is the story of a father and a daughter who have never seen each other. The two finally meet at the top of a mountain the day the father had planned to commit suicide.
The female main role should be taken on by Serb Isidora Simijonovic who won Rotterdam this year with her film Klip [+see also:

The production team wants to try and completely finance the film itself during the year 2013. They are expecting €100,000 in donations through the online platform. Their crowdfunding endeavour will end on 30 March 2013.
