European genre films platformed on new IFC Midnight label

IFC Films, one of the leading distributors of foreign films in the US, announced on the opening of the Cannes Market that they will be acquiring new genre films for their newly created IFC Midnight label.

IFC Midnight will premiere four new films each month on VoD; selected titles will also be released in cinemas at the same time as their VOD premiere. An IFC Midnight branded line of Blu-ray and DVD product will also be released via a distribution arrangement with the MPI Media Group.

The first titles set to premiere simultaneously in cinemas and on VoD, in early July August and September, respectively, are: Danish title Valhalla Rising [+see also:
