Goran Vojnović

Born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 1980. Graduated from the University of Ljubljana, Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television, in film and TV directing.

During his studies, Goran directed two short films ((Fužine Rules and Season 90/91), both of which received international awards and were screened at many renowned international film festivals. After finishing his studies, Goran co‑wrote a screenplay with Marko Šantić for Bon Voyage, Nedime, for which he received the Best Screenplay Award at the Vienna Film Festival, the Sarajevo Heart Award and was nominated for the Euro‑ pean Film Academy Award.

In 2006 Goran directed a short film, My Son, a Sex Maniac, which premiered at Cinema Jove Festival, Valencia, Spain. In 2008 Goran made another short film, The Chinese Are Coming, which received a special jury mention at the Festival of Slovenian Film.
