JALLA! JALLA!

by Josef Fares

synopsis

Roro and Måns are best friends working as park attendants. Life is fine, and in fact, Roro, a Lebanese immigrant, is head over heels in love with his Swedish girlfriend, Lisa. But Roro has put off introducing Lisa to his family as they are traditional Lebanese immigrants, and he thinks they will object to the relationship. Right when he's about to tell his family about her, Roro's parents announce they have arranged his marriage to a Lebanese-Swedish girl. His bride-to-be is equally uniterested in this arranged marriage, but she asks Roro to pretend to go along so that her family doesn't send her back to Lebanon. Deception and misunderstandings lead to a hilarious showdown. Meanwhile, Måns is struggling with the fear that he has become impotent...
