HONEYMOONERS
by Karl Golden
synopsis
Jilted groom escaping the disaster of his wedding day and a flighty waitress sick of playing second fiddle to her lover's wife find themselves adrift in rural Irish backwater. He wants to stay drunk and forget; she wants to put her life in some kind of order, to stay out of the city and out of mischief. As the initial frostiness between the pair begins to melt, albeit thanks to a sabotaged car and a tot or two of whiskey, they are drawn closer together.
