THOMAS LIVES

by Antonio Cuadri

synopsis

The actors from a theater company shut themselves in a Spanish monastery from the 13Th century for rehearsing a play based on Thomas More decapitation. The family tragedy that this fact means for the characters of the theatrical drama intertwines with the personal conflicts of the actors. Antonio and Carmen, who bring to life the roles of Thomas More and his daughter Margaret, start on emotional journey where their own identity will be threatened. Thomas lives is an 'actor's film', a homage to the theatrical and cinematographic performance. A glance at the intense world of the acting, that plays with the astonishing line that divides reality and fiction, sense and insanity. In short, the dark and bright territory of the artistic creation.
