SAVAGES

by Carlos Molinero Varela

synopsis

In contemporary Valencia, where racism, xenophobia and disenchantment have taken hold of numerous local youths, middle-aged nurse Berta works to support her orphaned neice and nephews. Looking for romance, Berta begins dating detective Eduardo. The relationship is going well, but when Eduardo begins investigating the beating of a Sengalese immigrant, the evidence seems to point to Berta's neo-Nazi nephews, Guillermo and Raul. Refusing at first to accept the truth, Berta must eventually confront her nephews.
