LOVERS OF THE NILE

by Eric Heumann

synopsis

In the south of Tunisa, Anne Frendo, a dreamy young girl prone to premonitions, lives alone with her father on the family plantation of Besseriani. It’s 1943, and the daily Allied advance obliges the Axis forces to retreat. While out walking one day on the deserted Besseriani beach, Anne discovers the body of a dead French soldier. Parachuted in to do reconnaisance work, the soldier had injured himself on falling and then walked until his strength gave out. Anne sets out on a voyage into the past, hoping to turn back the hands of time.
