TorinoFilmLab set to unveil cutting-edge creations at 17th TFL Meeting Event
Last year's TFL Meeting Event

TorinoFilmLab (TFL) is gearing up for the 17th TFL Meeting Event, scheduled from 21 to 23 November, 2024. Since its inception in 2008, the TFL Meeting Event has been the premier platform for presenting projects developed within TorinoFilmLab's annual programmes to an eclectic audience of film industry professionals. This year's edition promises to be even more groundbreaking, as it will feature projects from all the long-term training and development initiatives under the TorinoFilmLab umbrella.

A standout feature of the 17th edition is the debut of nine original TV series projects from SeriesLab, yet to be announced, a testament to the evolving landscape of entertainment media. These projects, honed through a rigorous six-month programme under the guidance of Eszter Angyalosy, are poised to captivate audiences worldwide with their innovative storytelling.

Additionally, the event will showcase four comedy scripts tailored for a global audience, developed through ComedyLab, the latest training initiative led by Alec Von Bargen.

True to tradition, the TFL Meeting Event will also highlight sixteen feature film scripts developed by ScriptLab 2024, led by the experienced Eva Svenstedt Ward.

Furthermore, the event will feature ten advanced feature film projects helmed by first or second-time directors, nurtured within the FeatureLab programme under the guidance of Violeta Bava.

In addition to showcasing projects, the TFL Meeting Event serves as a nexus for industry professionals, including producers, distributors, sales agents, buyers, funds, and festival representatives. Through face-to-face interactions and purposeful matchmaking, attendees have the opportunity to discover high-quality international projects and forge valuable business connections.

For those interested in collaborating with Italy, the special section TFL Italia will present eight projects exploring international co-production opportunities, as part of TFI Torino Film Industry.

The climax of the event will be the Awards Ceremony on the evening of Saturday 23 November, where recipients will be honoured for their outstanding contributions to the world of cinema and serial storytelling.

TorinoFilmLab is organized by the National Museum of Cinema and supported by Creative Europe - MEDIA, reflecting its commitment to fostering creativity and collaboration across borders.
